To Be A Leader[/glow]
After meeting with the strange man, Katie began to think about what he said. She knew she could lead clan, but a lot of people were depending on her. She continued to go to meetings for the {CM} clan. One meeting required many clans to meet on an important issue. Katie, of course, went to represent the {CM} clan. Other clans that attended were ~SITH~, =JK=, {ARC}, LRRP, and {EW}, along with many others. Katie made it to the gigantic debate room and took her seat.
“Would you look at her.” said Wickwire pointing to Katie.
“My, she does look stunning doesn’t she?” said Badger.
“She is very stunning.” Wickwire agreed. “She has become just like Leia Organa Solo. She can handle a blaster just as good as anyone and is always at peace.”
“Sit down, it’s about to start.” said Badger as the first speaker walked to the microphone.
After the debate, Badger and Wickwire waited for Katie. “There she is.” said Wickwire as he walked towards her. Katie saw them and waved.
“How are you Katie?” asked Wickwire.
“I’m fine. How are you?” replied Katie.
“I’m good.” said Wickwire.
“Dang Wick, slow down next time.” said Badger as he caught up.
“Oh, hi Badger. Glad to see you again.” said Katie.
“Yes, glad to see you too.” said Badger. “Well I must be going. I got a letter from a friend that I haven’t seen in awhile.” said Katie.
“Alright, I’ll see you around.” said Wickwire.
Katie walked into a private bar, looking for her friend. At first she didn’t see anyone, so she sat down and ordered some food.
“Hi Katie!” said a voice from the door. Katie looked to see her friend Stacey walking towards her in an expensive dress. “Oh my gosh! It’s been so long!” said Stacey.
“Yes it has, too long if you ask me.” replied Katie. Katie met Stacey a long time ago when they were kids. They quickly became best friends.
“How have you been?” asked Stacey as she finally calmed down.
“I’ve been great. You?” said Katie.
“I’ve been doing well. You’ve come a long way since that cheerleading you did.” said Stacey. Katie had been a cheerleader for a Coruscant school she had attended a few years prior.
“Yes I have, a long way.” said Katie. They then began a conversation that lasted into the night, catching up on news and what each has been doing.
“You really should be a leader, it fits you.” said Stacey as she got up to leave.
“Well I have a duty to fulfill, so I‘m, not sure.” said Katie as she put on her coat.
“Well I hope we meet again soon. I’ll see you around.” said Stacey waving. “I hope to see you again soon too.” replied Katie, also waving good-bye.
The next day, Katie went to a meeting she had scheduled for the clan. She walked into an empty room. Disappointed, she called several members, each giving the response that they didn’t feel like going. Katie was deeply angered by this. She went to her private quarters to re-think the situation. She couldn’t believe they blew off another meeting.
“This is the fifth one this week.” said Katie disgusted. Feeling the stress start to get to her, she decided to take a hot, relaxing bath. While soaking in the bath, her phone rang. She answered and was surprised it was Samurai on the other line. After a few minutes, she slammed the phone down. The conversation between the two is not known to this day.
After that day, Katie vanished for a few days. One evening, while during a target practice session, Wickwire was visited by Katie.
“Hey Wick!” shouted Katie over the gunfire. “Katie? Where have you been?” asked Wickwire as he put down his BlastTech rifle.
“I’ve been busy with some things. Look at this.” said Katie as she removed her coat. On her shirt was a rectangular box with =SS= encrypted into it. “=SS=? You quit {CM}?” asked Wickwire with curiosity.
“Yes I did. I felt that they were not listening to me. They made me a senator, yet they barely paid attention to my speeches.” said Katie with a frown on her face.
“After hearing some people’s comments, I decided to create a clan.” “That’s awesome Katie.” said Wickwire.
“I have a question.” said Katie. “Yes?” asked Wickwire with a puzzled look on his face.
“Would you like to join it?” Katie asked with a look of hopefulness on her face. “How can I join when I’m with {EW}?” asked Wickwire.
“Well you see, this clan is mainly a Republic Commando clan, a totally different kind of league than Battlefront. Talk to Squirrel about it, please?” said Katie.
“Ok hold on.” said Wickwire as he pulled out a high tech cell phone.
After talking on the phone for a couple of minutes, Wickwire had a smile on his face. He went to find Katie, who had gone to a café to wait for Wickwire to finish his conversation. He found her and sat down.
“So?” asked Katie wide-eyed.
“Well we talked.” said Wickwire. “Yes.” said Katie eagerly. “Then he had to think about It.” said Wickwire. “Come on your killing me! What did he say!” said Katie as she got right in Wickwire’s face. Wickwire smiled.
“He said yes.” said Wickwire. “Yay! I’m so happy!” shouted Katie as she jumped up and down. “I have to ask you two to leave.” said the owner of the café.
“Oopsies.” giggled Katie. Wickwire rolled his eyes and laughed.

With =SS= now formed, Katie began recruiting members. Among them was Bryant, a skilled fighter. Although he was skilled, he could not get into the Republic Commando leagues. Disappointed by this, Katie decided to make a Battlefront Division of =SS=. She made Wickwire leader of the Republic Commando division, and Bryant the leader of the Battlefront division, with her being overall leader. New members started pouring in. Katie soon found herself setting up a clan battles for both divisions.
The Battlefront division was scheduled first. It was all friendly, so no one got hurt during the match. Unfortunately, =SS= lost. Katie was devastated by the loss. As Wickwire was preparing for the other battle, he found Katie sobbing in the food court. He walked up to her.
“Hey what’s wrong?” asked Wickwire.
“I can’t believe we lost. It was my fault that we lost. I should have kept it more organized.” cried Katie.
“It’s not your fault Katie. You did well in your very first battle as a leader. You should be proud of it.” reassured Wickwire.
“No I didn’t. I should just leave the clan in yours and Bryant’s hands.” said Katie still crying.
“Don’t think that. You should see this as a learning experience. Everyone loses at one time or another.” said Wickwire with a caring voice. Katie began to calm down now.
“Your right Wick. I should gain as much as I can from this.” said Katie wiping her eyes.
“That’s what I like to hear. Now let’s get ready for the next battle. Whether we win or lose, let’s have fun with it.” said Wickwire as he stood up.
“Yeah, let’s try our best and have fun with It.” said Katie. Bryant, along with other =SS= members came in to cheer her up. It made Katie feel great. With that, they fought their next match. Again, =SS= lost, but after remembering Wickwire’s words, Katie felt proud of their performance.

Katie, whom others predicted would fail, succeeded, and now her fate lies in the stars of her soldiers.
