(Europeon Union) Really I thought the americans all died off from the freezover lol, but anyway some other cool expansion. I heard EA will still work on BF2 as well, cause its still pretty crazy ass popular, around 12,000 players on at one time.

ya they should make a feature where you can pick up a certian peice of equipment instead of a whole pack, like an add on to your existing one. In Americas Army, you can pick up dead peoples nades, pistols rifles, whatever they have on their person, without having to get rid of yours and take theirs

I've never played AA, so I can't say that you'd be at home in Battlefield... but for all I know, they could feel the same.
For me, it was a whole new experience. I was used to Battlefront and Counter-strike at the time, and BF felt really wierd to play at the start. It takes some getting used to, that's for sure. The gameplay is fast and furious, and you've gotta be constantly moving and pushing the enemy back; 'cause the tide of the battle could change in a second. When you hear gunfire, drop to prone and get behind something. Once you get a few basic things for whatever unit type you've chosen, get extra stamina and 'nades. In 2142, you have very little stamina when you start, and since you walk very slow; you need to run a lot. But because you start with only a bit of stamina, you can't get far without running outta breath.
It all depends on what kind of a player you are when it comes to deciding what unit tupe to use. I use the assault/medic because I like to go in and attack (often alone), and having health packs keeps me going longer. It's also nice when you're in a group and your buddies die, 'cause you can revive them. They also have a special unlock helmet that marks enemy units with a red diamond, so that you can keep an eye on 'em, even through walls.
Sniper and special forces are combined, engineer and anti tank are combined, and support is... support (lots of support unlocks). Each unit type has two sets of unlocks, both with a new weapon as the last unlock. Along the way to getting these weapons, you unlock useful tools that help you own more people.
'Tis a fun game. In order to really understand without me typing up a manual, you'd need to play. Lol.

It's like war, except with pixels and not as intense.

Pretty much what Kal said. The first unlock you should get is nades, hands down. Then, both sprint unlocks. Then, I highly reccommend you get the defibilater for the medic side of the assault class. That way, you can revive people. From there, basically max out what branch you play the most in to give yourself somewhat of an advantage. I'm a mix of assault/medic and recon. I occasionally go engineer for special things, and support when I'm defending. I tend to lean towards assault/medic for most things.
Gameplay is unreal. It's VERY fast paced. Don't be mad if you die like 7 times in a row without getting a kill. it's going to happen until you get some experience. Don't always reload your weapon. Reload it when it has around 10 rounds left. It only takes about 11-12 rounds on average to kill a guy. This includes the bullets that will miss. With time, you'll take guys down in 6-9 rounds. Don't run into the open at all, unless you're very sure enemies aren't there.
JOIN SQUADS! You get field upgrades when your squad does good. Field upgrades are basically the unlocks you can get, but since your squad did good, you get to pick one of the unlocks you don't have to use in battle on that server, until you leave the server. (Field upgrades don't give you the choice of any upgrade. Here's an example. Lets say you're assault, and you unlocked the first tier upgrade for the assault class on the medic side. When you get a field upgrade, you can choose to get the second tier upgrade for the medic side, but everything else is only tier one upgrades.)
Better off asking us on x-fire where we can actually talk.

Anyway, I was in a server today, where the admins were padding their stats. They would pause the server and boot people when we didn't help them get badges. Makes me sick to find people who can't actually play without cheating. After getting myself some badges, (I didn't stat pad either. The one's I got have to be done the old fashion way), I went to where they were getting knife kills, and blew up like 8 people with a nade, then left.
Noobs.

Actually, I never did get the second sprint unlock. Lol, once I get the Lambert carbine I'll probably get on that.
But yeah, 'nades all the way. Just don't waste 'em, 'cause the second you do... you'll run into a situation where you'll wish you had a 'nade.

The second sprint unlock is a miracle. It recharges 3 times as fast. You could always get the extra nade unlock, but that's the 5th tier in the player abilities, and not really worth it. I'm on my way to getting the sentry gun. I just need 2 more unlock points. I'm a Master Corporal Silver right now, and gaining on the next rank.

I'm Sergeant Gold, so I need to hit the big points to rank up. That normally wouldn't be so bad, but since I took a break from 2142... I lost a lot of my trained skills. Lol. All I've got is my natural skill, and that's not enough. 'Suppose I should play a bit more...
